X Faces Ongoing Disruptions Following Hack, Resulting in Inaccessible Feeds and More

X, previously known as Twitter, has been facing temporary disruptions since yesterday around 3 PM ET. These issues have hindered users from accessing their feeds or sending and receiving messages.

Many users are encountering an error message that states, “Something went wrong. Try reloading,” with no clear explanation provided.

Unfortunately, reloading the feed or restarting the app does not seem to resolve the issue. Elon Musk, the platform’s owner, has suggested that these outages may be the result of targeted cyberattacks.

Typically, the disruptions appear to be brief, with posts and messages intermittently becoming accessible. However, it remains unclear whether these outages are genuinely linked to cyber threats.

In an interesting twist, the website twitter.com also went offline for the first time since its rebranding to X. Until now, this domain had remained accessible, although it is uncertain whether this incident is connected to the ongoing outages experienced by users.

For those affected, the best course of action is to periodically check the X app to see if services have resumed. There have been instances where users, including myself, found their messages inaccessible for several hours but were able to regain access later.

Currently, my feed is once again failing to update. Despite these challenges, millions continue to utilize the platform, attempting to recreate the vibrancy that Twitter once offered.

The only way to determine if the disruption at X persists is to return and check the app intermittently.
