Google is rolling out an innovative feature in Gmail designed to empower users with better control over subscription emails in their inboxes. This new functionality allows users to unsubscribe directly from their email list by simply clicking an unsubscribe button, which sends a request to the respective sender.
In addition, users will have the ability to view the number of emails they have received from each sender over the past few weeks. The Manage Subscriptions feature can be accessed from the menu located in the top left corner of Gmail.
This rollout is occurring in phases; the web version will receive the update starting today, followed by the Android app on July 14, and the iOS app on July 21. However, it is important to note that it may take several weeks before the feature becomes available to all users.
Importantly, this feature will be accessible to all personal Google accounts, as well as Google Workspace and Workspace Individual users in select countries. However, the specific countries included in this rollout have not been clearly defined.
This update aims to simplify the email management experience, making it easier for users to declutter their inboxes and take control of their subscriptions. With this proactive approach to email organization, Google continues to enhance the utility of its Gmail platform.
